Differences And Advantages And Disadvantages Of Industrial Endoscope Optical Mirror, Fiber Optic Mirror And Electronic Mirror

Industrial endoscopes are instruments commonly used in the industrial field to observe the interior of pipelines, machines, and equipment. According to the imaging form, it can be divided into three types: optical mirror, fiber optic mirror and electronic mirror. These three different forms of endoscopy have different applications and advantages.

Optical mirrors are by far the most common type of industrial endoscope. It uses the principle of optics to observe and shoot the target through lenses and optical equipment. Compared with fiber optic mirrors and electronic mirrors, optical mirrors have the advantages of clear imaging, simple operation, and relatively cheap prices. It is suitable for most internal inspection and maintenance of pipelines and equipment.

The fiberscope uses the principle of fiber optics to transmit the light inside the object to be detected through the optical fiber to realize the imaging of the endoscope. The biggest advantage of fiberscopes compared to optical mirrors is that they can access small areas that optical mirrors cannot reach, and at the same time, they do not require mechanical movement when using them. Due to the flexibility of the fiber, the fiberscope can easily bring the instrument where it needs to be inspected. However, the lens imaging effect of the fiberscope is affected by factors such as fiber delay and light transmittance reduction, so the imaging quality will be worse than that of the optical mirror.

The electronic mirror uses the CCD instead of the image guide beam to conduct the image signal, and scans the surface of the detected object through the electron beam to generate a high-definition image. Compared with optical mirrors and fiber optic mirrors, electronic mirrors have great advantages in resolution, and can achieve micron-level resolution. However, the disadvantage of electronic mirrors is that they are expensive and are only suitable for the needs of high-precision and high-resolution imaging.

Different types of industrial endoscopes have different applicable scenarios. Optical mirrors are suitable for inspection and maintenance of most pipelines and equipment; fiber optic mirrors are suitable for inspection and maintenance that require access to narrow spaces; and electronic mirrors are suitable for high-precision, high-resolution inspection and observation. Users need to choose the endoscope that suits them to achieve flexible, efficient and accurate work.
