Analysis Of Advantages And Disadvantages Of Rigid Rod Endoscope And Flexible Tube Endoscope

Endoscope products are divided into rigid rod endoscopes and hose endoscopes according to their materials. These two endoscopes of different materials have different advantages and disadvantages when applied to different usage scenarios.

news-800-800Advantages of rigid rod endoscopes:

1. High-definition: The rod of the hard rod endoscope is harder, which better protects the signal line and lens, and has more space to accommodate higher pixel cameras;

2. Wear resistance: the hard rod sight glass has high strength, can withstand a certain degree of impact and friction, and is not easy to damage;

3. Operational stability: the grip handle and insertion port of the hard rod speculum are more comfortable, and it is not easy to get tired when used for a long time;

4. Environmental adaptability: The rigidity and strength of the rigid rod sight glass allow it to be used in a higher temperature and high pressure environment.

Disadvantages of rigid rod endoscopes:

1. Not suitable for detection of curved parts: the material of the hard rod sight glass is relatively hard, and cannot be bent and rotated well, so it is not suitable for detection of curved parts and narrow positions;

2. It cannot be used for long-distance detection. If it exceeds 3 meters, it will be difficult to hold and operate, and the portability is weak.

3. Narrow field of view: The pipe of the rigid rod endoscope is usually slender and the field of view is relatively small, so the operator needs to adjust the field of view frequently, which is more complicated to operate.

 Advantages of hose endoscopy:

1. Flexibility: The flexible tube of the tube endoscope can be bent and rotated, which is suitable for detecting hard-to-reach areas such as curved parts and narrow positions;

2. Portability: the tube endoscope can be folded and stored for easy portability;

3. Large field of view: the tube of the tube endoscope is relatively spacious and has a large field of view. It is not necessary to adjust the viewing angle and position frequently during use, and it is more convenient to operate.

Disadvantages of hose endoscopy:

1. The image is not clear enough: Compared with the rigid endoscope, the high-definition image transmitted by the tube endoscope has a certain gap, which is more troublesome for fine operation and observation.

2. Poor stability: Because the tube of the tube endoscope is softer, it is not easy to fix and shake easily during operation, which may be difficult to operate.

3. Short service life: Since the tube of the tube endoscope is soft and not resistant to wear, the service life of the tube endoscope is shorter than that of the hard rod endoscope. To sum up, rigid rod endoscopes and hose endoscopes have their own advantages and disadvantages. Choosing a suitable industrial endoscope requires making decisions based on different actual situations.
