Factors affecting the clarity of imaging of industrial endoscope cameras

When users choose industrial endoscope cameras, they are most concerned about the clarity of the image. Only with clear image quality can the details inside the tiny aperture be seen clearly. So what factors are related to the image quality of industrial endoscopes?

1. Resolution: Resolution refers to the clarity and detail level of the image provided by the endoscope. The higher the resolution, the clearer the image and the richer the details. At present, endoscopes with a diameter of more than 3mm on the market are mainly 1MP and 2MP. Some can reach 5 million but the diameter is larger. The pixels of those with a diameter less than 3mm are generally smaller. When users purchase industrial endoscopes, they need to pay attention to specific resolution parameters to ensure that they can meet the required observation and detection requirements.

2. Light source: The light source is crucial to the image quality and brightness of the endoscope. A suitable light source can provide uniform and stable lighting to make the image clearer. The LED illumination of general industrial endoscopes is only suitable for small diameters. If the internal area of the observation area is large, insufficient illumination will occur, affecting the image clarity of the endoscope.

3. The observation distance: which is often referred to as the depth of field and the field of view, is also the most important point that affects the clarity of the image. Each industrial endoscope has a set field of view and depth of field range when it leaves the factory. The surface of the object is clearer within the depth of field, and it will be blurred if it exceeds the depth of field.

The size of the field of view determines the wide range of the object to be observed. The large field of view has a large observation range, and the bottom and side walls of the pipe can be better observed. The small angle directly has a smaller observation range, and the side walls of the pipe will be more blurred.

4. Environmental factors: Industrial endoscopes are also affected by environmental factors during use, such as humidity, temperature, corrosion, etc. in the use environment. These factors will affect the image quality and make the image blurred or distorted.

When choosing an endoscope product, users must first clarify the use environment (including pipe diameter, internal structure, depth, temperature, etc.), understand the parameter requirements of the endoscope to be purchased, and choose the appropriate product according to the use requirements. If you cannot clearly identify the appropriate product, you can communicate with the merchant to understand it so as to better match the appropriate product.
